Cashew Creamy Crema

About the Recipe

The cashew cream has the right texture that a regular cream doesn't feel like. And, like dairy cream, it adds a source of fat and richness to the recipes in which it is used.

Ingredients

1/2 cup Raw Cashews

!/2 clove Garlic

1 Tbsp Lime juice

2 Tbsp Lemon juice

3 oz Water

To taste Sea Salt

To taste Black pepper


Preparation

Step 1

Soak cashews overnight at room temperature, covered.


Step 2

Drain, and transfer to blender.


Step 3

Add all other ingredients and puree until smooth.


Step 4

Adjust seasonings to taste.


Step 5

Store in a airthight container in the refrigerator, up to 1 week.
